Aziz and Ingeus UK transcript

 I'm Aziz Karagil and I'm the owner of Pet Shop on Wheels. Unemployment is quite difficult, but I knew deep down that I wanted to do my own things and then luckily my dog helped me bring out my passion and I started my own business.

 So RIFT came to work with Aziz via his Restart Advisor. So Aziz would have expressed some sort of interest in getting his business off the ground. They would have made a referral to us and then our ops team would have made a judgment on who the best Business Startup Adviser would be. And in that case that was me.

The Jobcenter Plus that I signed up for, because I was unemployed for a while and I was running out of my savings. So they passed me on to Restart Scheme, and they kind of directed me to RIFT Social Enterprise.

The Restart Scheme provides in-house training schemes for our participants, but in addition to that, also partner with specialist providers such as RIFT Social Enterprise. Aziz was very passionate about exploring self-employment. So RIFT along with Restart Scheme collectively collaborated to support a Aziz every step of the way to support him in his self-employment journey.

From the day one, RIFT Advisers have always been so supportive and helpful to me. They're not only helping you in the way of like business wise, but they're also giving you some sort of confidence in yourself that you can do whatever you want to do. That's how I made my dreams come true. It's been a couple weeks since I officially started and so far I got really, really good feedback. It makes me feel I'm proud of myself.

One of the things that we sat down with Aziz and looked at was actually the business model. So we looked at things like setting up his website. We also looked at planning for the van that we're stood in now, but mainly working on his confidence. I mean, he already had such an amazing business that he had started. It was just that confidence building. I think Aziz just really needed that guidance and that push.

Of course I do recommend Research Scheme because they changed my life for the better. This is my baby, my business is my everything. Self-employed and trying to establish a business it's quite hard, but RIFT has helped me to realise this, that I can do it and I'm doing it for myself.
