To access Workforce Australia Services you need to be unemployed and already registered with Centrelink.
They will determine if you're eligible for support from a provider such as APM Employment Services, or if you are better suited to use Workforce Australia Online.
If you’re referred to APM for in-person Workforce Australia Services, we’ll give you more tailored support to help you become job-ready and find work.

What is Workforce Australia Services?
Workforce Australia Services helps people receiving income support payments find and keep a job.
Whether you prefer to manage your own job search online or would benefit from personalised support, there are services available to suit your needs.
Workforce Australia Services connects you with the tools, training and guidance to help you move towards employment.
For eligible people who need additional support, providers including APM Employment Services, can give you access to a dedicated employment consultant.
They can help you build confidence, develop job-ready skills and connect with local employers.

About Workforce Australia Services
Work one-on-one with a dedicated employment consultant who will help you create a personalised Job Plan, build job-ready skills, and connect with local employers.

You may be eligible for Workforce Australia if you're unemployed, receiving income support payments, and registered with Centrelink.
Who do we support?
We support job seekers from all backgrounds, including people who need extra assistance to prepare for work, build skills and secure employment.
Points Based Activation System
The Points Based Activation System (PBAS) helps you meet your mutual obligation requirements while receiving income support payments. Your employment consultant can help you understand your points target and the activities that count towards it.
First Nations participants
Access specialist support designed for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander job seekers in selected locations. Our team can help connect you with training, mentors, community-based support and employment that aligns with your goals and circumstances.
Culturally and linguistically diverse participants
Additional support is available for people from diverse backgrounds in selected locations.This may include translation services, educational opportunities, mentoring and connections to community programs.

Points Based Activation System (PBAS)
The Points Based Activation System (PBAS) helps many job seekers meet their mutual obligation requirements while receiving income support payments.
You earn points by completing activities that help you move closer to employment. This may include searching for jobs, attending interviews, completing training, gaining work experience or undertaking paid work.
Everyone's points target is different and is based on their personal circumstances.
If you're participating in Workforce Australia Services, your employment consultant will explain your requirements and help you understand which activities count towards your target.
They can also answer questions and help you stay on track throughout your employment journey.
Your rights
We want to make sure your new job is suitable, safe and fair. If you have any concerns about your new job, speak to your employment consultant immediately.
If required, they can advise you on:
- The National Employment Standards for all workers
- Workplace requirements (such as telling your employer when you’re sick)
- Safety at work and what to do if you are injured
- What to do if you experience harassment or discrimination
- Other issues that concern you about working
