DXC Technology and Springday transcript
Natasha: My name is Natasha. I'm the Chief of Staff at DXC and I'm also the Executive Sponsor for our Wellbeing Program. Springday’s been an excellent partner for us. When I started as the Exec sponsor for the program, I really, I knew we wanted to get it out there, we wanted to build engagement and build momentum, but we really didn't know how to do it. What I love about this initiative is that it takes the whole wellbeing piece and enables us to deliver it to people across our entire region. When we first introduced it, having our first step challenge, it was just so exciting. Every meeting you went into, people were talking about how many steps they'd done, or they dropped past my desk and say, “I’m just doing a couple of laps of the floor to build up my steps during the day.” So it really started to take, you know, collaborative working and connection, all those things we talk about and really turn it into action.
Adriana: The Wellbeing Platform has benefited me because of its convenience and the range of activities on there that I can do that suit my day to day and how I'm feeling during the day, so sometimes I might be feeling like I've got pent up energy and I've been working all day and I just want to get a HIIT class done and I know I can get on that app and quickly do it. We can get on there and we can check out who's on the top of the leaderboard and who needs encouragement. And then we might jump on to a teams chat and say, “hey you know, well done to Louise” for example, who’s at the top of the leaderboard. “Come on guys, you know, who else is going to get on there?”
David: The main thing I love about being a Wellbeing Champion is I can bring the perspective of my line of service delivery, into what we do as part of the Wellbeing Hub. So it's not just about fitness and health, it's also about healthy eating. There’s menus and whatnot on there to help people try and cook healthier. I like the fact that it's got an ability for us to submit content.
Lousie: It's an encouragement to make sure that we're, that I'm as an employee, finding balance and bringing health and wellbeing into a daily, I guess, program.
Chris: So the benefits to the staff would definitely be access to a range of mental health and wellbeing content right at their fingertips, whether it's on app or on the web. It provides them insights into how their wellbeing is going and provides them the tools and resources necessary to help enable them to improve their wellbeing.
Natasha: The program's had an enormous impact on our business in the last 18 months. Everything from people getting excited about the challenges in the competition, to really personal and heartfelt notes from people telling us that it's made a significant difference not just to them, but to their families. So for me, when you know, when I think about employee experience and employee engagement, these are really great words, but what they really mean is how do we make people feel part of something bigger than themselves and feel connected to it?
