Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Training provides practical, evidence-based skills to help participants recognise the signs of common mental health concerns, start supportive conversations, and connect individuals with appropriate help when it matters most. Delivered by APM WorkCare’s accredited instructors, the course strengthens confidence, communication and psychological safety across the workplace. Participants gain nationally recognised accreditation and the tools to support colleagues, reduce stigma, and contribute to a more resilient and mentally healthy workforce.
About the course
Delivered online over two days, the APM WorkCare Mental Health First Aid Training course combines current research with practical, real-world learning. Participants develop the knowledge and confidence to recognise mental health concerns, respond to crisis situations, and use structured action plans to support others in their workplaces.
Those who successfully complete the assessments become accredited MHFAiders for three years, after which they can complete a short refresher course to update their knowledge and maintain their accreditation.

3. Become accredited
Complete a short assessment to gain Mental Health First Aid accreditation, valid for three years.
4. Refresh maintain your skills
Access refresher training to maintain accreditation and stay current with best-practice mental health support.
