What are NDIS Employment Supports?
NDIS Employment Supports help participants develop the skills, confidence and experience needed to achieve employment goals.
Whether you're interested in finding your first job, moving from school into employment, building workplace skills, or receiving support in your current role, there may be NDIS-funded support available to help you succeed.
APM Futures is a registered NDIS provider delivering employment supports designed to help participants prepare for work, gain employment, and build long-term workplace success.
Types of support
School Leaver Employment Supports
Helping NDIS participants aged 15–22 successfully transition from school into employment and develop the skills needed for future work opportunities.
Finding and Keeping a Job
Support for working-age participants who want to prepare for employment, find work, build workplace skills, and achieve their career goals.
Supports in Employment
Support for participants who are already working but need assistance to achieve goals, remain focused at work, or manage workplace challenges.

Types of supports
School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES)
For NDIS participants aged 15–22 who are preparing to leave school and want support transitioning into employment.
The program focuses on building capacity for work through:
- Career exploration
- Workplace and life skills
- Confidence building
- Community connections
- Group activities
- Real-world work experience
- Resume and interview preparation
- Travel training and workplace independence skills
Finding and Keeping a Job
Designed for working-age participants who want support to achieve employment goals and build a career pathway.
Support may include:
- Exploring career options
- Establishing vocational goals
- Building employment skills
- Managing barriers to employment
- Transitioning from an Australian Disability Enterprise (ADE) to open employment
- Preparing for Inclusive Employment Australia pathways
- Ongoing career planning and development
Supports in Employment
For participants who already have a job but need support to achieve workplace goals or maintain employment.
Support can include:
- Workplace coaching
- On-the-job training
- Assistance with work tasks
- Communication support
- Building workplace skills
- Managing disability-related challenges
- Individual or group workplace support
- Goal setting and career development
